as a child, my father would sing this song to me when i grew to be frustrated or discouraged. now, as i near adolescence, this is my ringtone on my father’s phone. each time i call, stevie wonder reminds my father that indeed, everything will be “all right.” both my father and i have an inexplicable love for this song as it plasters a smile on each of our faces. it does not only have a calming effect on me, but also reminds me of all of my memories with my father (both good and bad). yet, most importantly, it is a reminder that everything will work out just fine. take things one minute at a time, one hour at a time, and one day at a time. and always remember…
