Through this photograph, I wanted to capture how teens are sometimes confronted with deep, dark thoughts that are surprisingly mature. In this coming of age photograph, my model faces a mirror, projecting two versions of herself. This double projection is indicative of the "identity crises" that may occur in the transformative years of a teenager.
About the Artist: Nicole Hur is a photographer from Seoul, South Korea. As a teenager herself, she loves to capture moments that reflect both the chaos and calm of teenage life. She frequently uses her friends as models, which is just another excuse to hang out with them.
