artist statement

My art is a series of photographs that capture “Touch.” Touch is a beautiful thing yet it often goes unnoticed or taken for granted. Being in isolation made me crave physical touch and realize the importance it carried in my life and wellbeing. My photo series captures interactions where people are touching in an intimate way that would otherwise go unnoticed or forgotten. The moments that are genuine, raw and make the heart flutter. The purpose of this series is to show the way humans touch each other without being told to so my photos will be authentic to the nature of the subjects and not posed. These photos will have temporal transcendence, meaning their relevance is based on the preservation of humanity and a universal concept that's meaning will increase over time.
